| "The Beginning Anticipates the End The End Anticipates the Beginning"

This enigmatic and intriguing special volume book features two different titles, The Beginning Anticipates the End, on the front cover, and The End Anticipates the Beginning, on the back, with an Statement in Thai and English by photographer Manit Sriwanichpoom, director of Kathmandu Photo Gallery.
Albair's book offers a continuous visual narrative that toys with notions of beginnings and endings. Text and images explore both of these ideas while leading toward a middle ground of meaning that is rich in ambiguity and potential. The images are suffused with an atmosphere of nostalgia and ironic humor that is a hallmark of his work. Ideas shift from love, longing and loss which are somewhat inspired by his childhood memories growing up with his twin sister.
The book is formatted to read from either direction, front to back or back to front, with two tables of contents. Readers are encouraged to envision their own narratives inspired by the book's resonant theme. The book is debuting first in Bangkok and then in the US. This is in recognition of the influences that Thai culture and Thai friends have had on this work.
